JOE’S SUPPORTS BRINGING BACK BROADWAY

Bringing Back Broadway

Joe’s Auto Parks kicked off the New Year by announcing participation in the Bringing Back Broadway initiative and presenting sponsorship with DTLA’s Art Walk event.

Joe’s Auto Parks demonstrated a successful year in 2015 with the overall expansion of their diverse portfolio serving multiple sectors including: airports, transportation, hospitals, office buildings, stadium & events, municipal contracts, hotels & restaurants and residential & retail. Towards the end of last year, Joe’s Auto Parks expanded their efforts in the local Arts community by offering parking services for The Regent and Los Angeles Theatre Center. Joe’s Auto Parks kicked off 2016 celebrating the 8th anniversary of L.A. City Councilmember José Huizar’s Bringing Back Broadway initiative, Night On Broadway – as their sponsored parking operator donating 50 spaces and reserving 18 discounted spaces for the City Councilmember Office. The event features 7 of Broadway’s historic theaters and an on-street festival area free for all ages.

Bringing Back Broadway aims to revitalize the Historic Broadway corridor in downtown Los Angeles by reopening Broadway’s historic theaters and encouraging historic preservation. In addition to sponsoring the L.A. City Councilmember Office, Joe’s Auto Parks was also 1 out of 3, top tier presenting sponsors supporting the Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk initiatives. Downtown LA Art Walk’s commemorative Night on Broadway event took place between 4th and 5th streets of DTLA, which were blocked off for the Saturday festivities. As an additional guide for participating attendees, Joe’s provided a customized landing page accessible via www.downtownartwalk.org with a map outlining all convenient parking locations within close proximity of the event. Downtown LA Art Walk curated their events with art installations, performers, food trucks, and sponsors. With attendance this year surpassing its expected turn out of 50,000 attendees, reaching over 65,000 and doubling last year’s attendance, Joe’s parking lots surrounding the event easily reached full capacity.

“Many thanks to Joe’s Auto Parks for being a Presenting Sponsor of the Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk for this event. Support from partners like Joe’s helps our organization bring compelling arts-based programming to the public free of charge, and promote the visual arts and culture in Downtown Los Angeles.”

– Nat George, Director of Development for Downtown Los Angeles Art Walk

Kevin Litwin, Chief Operating Officer, commented on Joe’s Auto Parks’ continued presence in the Arts community saying, “We’re extremely proud to be a presenting sponsor for DTLA Art Walk and the Night on Broadway Event. We’ve always had an appreciation for the local DTLA arts community and are glad we are able to show and contribute our support.” Joe’s Auto Parks is excited to expand our footprint in the DTLA Arts community this year with continued support for local arts events!
